Installing a zipped-up VoiceAttack into an existing installation.

Installation of the zipped version of VoiceAttack into an existing install directory is very simple, however, you will definitely want to back up your VoiceAttack.dat file (the file that contains all the endless hours of meticulous profile designing that you've sacrificed all your free time for). It is usually located in C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\VoiceAttack. Just copy the VoiceAttack.dat file off somewhere safe for now (if you want, you can take the Backup folder with it... it contains the last 10 edits done to the profile set).

Now for the installation:

1) Take all the files in this .zip (including folders) and...
2) Put them in your installation folder for VoiceAttack.

My installation folder for VoiceAttack is C:\Program Files (x86)\VoiceAttack\ . Chances are yours is, too.

That's basically it. Just overwrite everything, including the folders (the folders only contain sample files). Nothing needs to stay. Your profiles, sounds, plugins and apps will all remain intact.

Some IMPORTANT things to note:

Make sure VoiceAttack is not running, or you wont be able to overwrite it ;)
Don't ignore the warning above about backing up your VoiceAttack.dat file, as VoiceAttack is generally backward-compatible and a lot less likely to be FORWARD compatible lol.

I hope you continue to enjoy the software and thanks for supporting VoiceAttack!
